What are you doing for Daxue Consulting?
I am currently working as a project manager. My daily work consists in structuring and carrying out the project in order to meet clients’ requirements. My main responsibilities are first to collect raw data in relation to the industry our client is in, and then divide the research into segments in order to grasp an all-round image of the scope of the project. With the help of projects assistants for collecting more in-depth data, I then review and analyze key findings and propose optimized recommendations to clients.
What recent project did you work on?
I am working on a project for a Western agency. For this project, I am conducting a marketing research, and my team and I are going to support the findings of this research by in-depth interviews and mystery calls. Well, I would say that my favorite sector is consumer goods because I like to keep updated about the fast-changing consumer preferences toward products and brands.
What recent news did catch your eye in China?
During the 67th National Day Holiday around 600 million Chinese tourists traveled to both local and international tourist spots. It was interesting to find out that some Chinese travelers choose new, unexpected and tropical locations as Morocco and North Africa for their trip.
Any hobby in Shanghai? Where would be your first choice for a dinner/party in Shanghai?
I enjoy travelling; my favorite destination is the Fiji Islands. I also spend some free time shopping online. I usually shop on Taobao, Tmall, JD, and Yihaodian. As for my first choice for dinner, I can’t say that I have one particular place, but I do enjoy the roof top restaurants that provide a nice atmosphere and astonishing views.
